The open cabinet filled with medicines & ointments, but do they help or hinder us...? The usual medicine cabinet contents are laid bare in a piece which questions the overuse and reliance on drugs for everyday ailments.

This piece followed on from the work in the Foreign Bodies Degree Show, with the elimination of the reveal theatricals of the 'preservation' piece. The bottles use the same lost wax core casting process as before, with the open layout of the piece enabling better viewing of the detail.
The entire piece is 30cm² and mounted a few centimeters away from the wall.

Detail showing 2 of the pill bottles with the image of the pills created by the hollow cavity in the glass, so made of nothing at all... A tube of clear ointment, containing nothing yet reassuring us...
